Transportation Systems are the building blocks of modern society. Efficient and safe movement of information, people, goods, and services ensures a thriving economy and such mobility improves quality of life. However, transportation systems by their very nature affect the environment through operations, construction, facility maintenance, as well as through the travel behaviours that they encourage. Therefore focus must not only be on efficient and safe design and operations but also on the link between travel behaviour, urban form, and environmental quality.Transportation Systems are the building blocks of modern society. Experience in providing highways and transportation input during the master plan process on a range of issues including access, road alignment, pedestrian and cycle connections, public transport provision, parking and traffic management. This involves developing a good working relationship with the urban design, planning and landscape members of the team in particular. Advice on access, capacity, accessibility and sustainability issues can be provided at an early stage of development as part of a feasibility study.
